Is the Sony PlayStation 3 a good investment???  

Don't let him. Have him get an X-box 360 instead. PS3 is gonna suck and it won't be worth the money, especially if you gotta buy a new tv to play it on.

If you watch lots of movies it may be an idea to get the PS/3, while it has a Blu-Ray disc player on it.
Apparently the Sony will be one of the cheaper players for some while.

Something unbelievable was witnessed when i was in England a couple of months ago. I went to a computer fair in Manchester and they actually had PS/3's for sale. Further, they were offering a 'chip it while you wait' service. So not only did these people have the units for sale in a country it hadn't been released in yet, but also, someone had developed a hack chip for it to run copied games !

Well maybe actually ,just have to see how fine it is as a computer .
If this replace well my computer then I'd say yes .
I'm really not sure of it though .
Let's wait and see .

I think this is really too expencive and is not as good as a computer.

PS3 is worth the investment, if you ask me. Currently it's still not available in my country but its coming soon, and I can almost guarantee many people will grab it. I'm thinking of getting one too, but only after the price drops.

I think PS3 might be the best console out there, beating even xbox 360 graphically. Although the Wii is phenomenal in introducing a new kind of control, PS3 has a huge fan base, especially in Japan, Sony's stronghold. Therefore, you can be sure that it is of utmost quality and game developers will definitely try to come up with even better games to cater to the huge fan base. I think PS3 will remain hot for at least 5 to 6 years before it starts losing its heat when Sony launches another new console, but I think that's highly unlikely, since PS3 signifies the highest level of perfection in the console industry currently.

The core microchip boasts to have teraflop speed. You know what that means? Only supercomputer chips can render teraflop speed. This means PS3 will be able to render jaw-dropping graphics that could blow anyone away. Of course there had been many discontent about its launch, but being a staunch supporter of PS3, I really recommend gamers to consider it.

i'm almost afraid to buy new systems anymore.it seems like
everytime you get one,here comes the "new improved version" the next year.
at least they made it retroactive tho so you can still play PS2 games.

I have th Xbox 360, PS3 adn Nentendo WII my sons and I use the wii more than any of the other systems not as great as soem but it is more fun and the head to competion in soem of the games is awesome .

I would not buy one a new tv, you can get a wire to convert the signals.
