Freedom Of Speech ----- Just where is the limit?

I read some discussion here, and it had a person constantly saying that this site is an American site, you have a freedom to say whatever you want as long as you are not offendidng someone personally. I agree to that, but is that all? Sometimes you are not targeting a specific person, but the object of your criticism may be much dear to them. So how can you say that they are trying to mute you when they are mere protesting. (....I would like to clear that the person in question was not doing it wrongly, as it was not a mere protesting but an appeal to ban this user.) It's better to put your opinion in non-offending way unless it has a strong reason to be put in somewhat strict manner. What do you think about it? I would appreciate to hear both the sides (supporting and opposing ones) as it makes a clear view and also I don't get both of the view in the same place. Discussions just turn to fights before that:(

This is indeed an American site but it is private. MyLot make the rules and they decide whether what we say can stay or not so there is only freedom up to a point. In the Terms they tell us that they can delete whatever they choose and that they don't even have to give a reason for the deletion. We agreed to that situation when we joined too

It's good to see that admins now come forward and clear this point themselves. Though I wrote it all a long time ago, I still find some people crying foul if someone contests their rude comments or language... And indeed we agreed...

A person can say or do whatever he/she wants as long as his/her actions will not do harm to anyone.

Personally that is and will always be an issue here in this site. That is probably why there are discussions here that I would Love to start, etc. but do not as in afraid I might offend someone, or maybe do not understand where someone is coming from and do not want to do that. I feel people are allowed to have their opinions but when they do not want to explain themselves some it is hard to see their side of things for sure.

I feel that freedom of speech come with responsibility, else your speech will create a lot of tension, especially if it deal will religion... A very sensitive topics, thus it must come with responsibility.
