What can a person do for swelling fingers? Mine are always swelling up when ever I get just a tad hot and I can't wear my rings! Any suggestions?

Same happens to me. Cut back on salt, as it retains water. If it is athritus, and swelling, then you will need an anti inflamitory.

Well there is always the running them under cold cold water..which is what i do alot..and you can try to lay down..put your arms behind your head,,and jeep your feet up t level the blod flow so it takes it away from your hands..and..dont forget to try IBUprofin..advil and such..they help reduce swelling..:)

i have the same problem. my doctor tells me to lay off the caffiene and the salty foods and also to drink alot of water. and if that does not work, she has me buy an over the counter water pill to help with the water retention.

I have the same problem, and sometimes it really starts to hurt. Usually, I will either put my hands under cold water for a little bit to get the swelling to go down, or I will hold my arms straight up over my head, while sitting or standing, and shake my hands a little--it seems to get the excess buildup of blood/fluid going the other way and the swelling goes down.

less salt in your diet? I have the same problem, and I don't eat a LOT of salt. Sorry
