How to download faster with Torrent client?

I asked the same question a couple of weeks ago I use Utorrent it works ok I am just trying to ge faster speeds I hear others say they get 150-300kbs and here I am getting lucky ifI hit 80kbs I have Cable internet we do you get faster speeds with Azureus I have never heard of that one is it new well if you find any answers let me know Thanks

i believe it basically depends on your connection speed, im also using utorrent since it uses very low resources. another thing is that for you to get fast DL speeds you must also have to share reasonable upload speeds, like if you set your upload speed to 5kbps then your DL speed would be limited. as to how much depends on the client.

well even for last few days i am not getting good speed. it is stuck in betwee 5 to 7 kbps althougu i use to get 20 kbps average. now can some one help me on this. i am desperatre. i download a lot of movie

The key is to seed ALOT once whatever I am downloading gets done I usally stop it and then at night while I am sleeping I start it again so it will seed through the night the more you seed the more kbs you will get on your next DL
