rules

Rules are for the obedience of fools and the guidance of wise men. This saying is to show that rules in society are set for the stupid foolish people who don't understand their purpose. Like stop signs for instance. the purpose of this rule is to prevent accidents, and invoke order in the roads. But late at night, when you're driving on a dead road, and you see a stop sign with no possibility for accident, do you stop? Do you really have to? I for one slow down if I can't see, and make sure the way is clear, more or less using it as a yield sign, in some cases just running straight through it. But where do you draw the line. When is breaking the rules really wrong? Do you follow the rules exactly, or do you use your disgression?
