A movie was filmed in our home town. The Curse, it was directed by David Keith and starred John Schnieder. I met both of them and had photo's taken with john. I look goofy in the pic though cause when he put his arm around me he laid his hand on my butt! I was in heaven! David Keith I really liked also until I got to see who he was. He was mean, bossy, conceded and just all around a awful person. I didn't get either autograph, but I still have that photo! I also have many wrestlers from the 80's. I have lots of photo's with them. My favorite was the Ultimate warrior. I have many pics with him and his autograph as well as a lot of others' also.

A few years ago I was waiting to pick up my purchase at IKEA, in New Jersy. The employee called out the name Charles. A man came up to claim his purchase. I heard this man talk and recognized his voice. I turned to look at him and it was Chad Lowe. I turned to my partner and said, "That's Chad Lowe. I wonder if he is here with his wife, Hilary Swank?" I turned around to scope out the store, and sure enough, there she was. She had on no makeup, a floppy orange hat and a raincoat. She had just won the Oscar for "Boys Don't Cry". They seemed in a hurry, so I didn't ask for autographs. It was just so cool to see them shopping at the same store I was. I also saw Sigourney Weaver at O'Hare airport. She was getting on one of those golfcart like vehicles that usually are used for the handicapped people. Didn't get her autograph either.

I have seen one or two and had to wonder what caused so much fuss. I see them as humans and not gods or deities. Admiration for their achievement is but natural but going beyond it and be in some obsessively fanatic state is not healthy anymore. I don't encourage my kids to idolize teen celebrities. I encourage her to derive inspirations from the wholesome characters of the story she reads.
