| won't run  | | | |  ok i thought it was the fuel pump, then i thought it was the wires and plugs, fuel filter, she ran good for about three hours then just says check engine and stops. starts up for a bit then dies once again. i have payed four hundred buck in tows. also when i opened the hood i was concerned as the box for the fuses was open and theres was a burnt fuse just lieing there he changed one of the relay(?)'s but said the other one was good. any help would be great. bmw 325i from 1989. five speed, six cyl. i payed some one at a shop that fixed only german cars. they said there was a one year warrentee. more like three hours.

| |  Have the mechanic check for a electric short my step-son had a B.M.W. and it did the same thing he did all that you did but it had a electric short so them put it on the computer and check all the fuses and take it to a mechanic you can trust.

| | sounds like your timeing could be off.also your car could be vapor locking.the next time it quit running on you. try putting a wet wash cloth over the carburator for a few minutes if its vapor locking the wash cloth will help it start up again then remove the wash cloth.you may have a crack head.when the engine gets hot.it will quit on you.but your best best to to have it put on machine while it is running.good luck with it | | | | | | | | | | Auto Repair Training Learn automotive repair at home.
