Where's Reg?

When Regis is gone, how do you survive? It just is not the same show without him....no matter who the guest host is. Don't get me wrong, I think Kelly does a very good job. But the success of that show is the chemistry between Regis and Kelly.

Regis is ok but I am not upset when there are guest hosts. I like seeing new people and the change up in the show is good to. I don't think Regis is as funny as Regis thinks he is.

It used to be Regis and Kathy Lee...then I guess Kathy Lee left and now Regis left? Give me a clue - what is the show called now?

the show is called Regis and Kelly Live. Yes, Kathy Lee left about 5 or more years ago. Kelly Ripa became his partner after an extensive tryout of various potential co-hosts. She was on "All My Children" at that time. She continued with the soap for a while, then left it. Later she also was on a night time ABC comedy with Faith Ford. She is married to Mark Consuleus. I agree that Regis adds to the show. Maybe Regis just needed a break from Kelly! LOL Well not really. Have you also noticed how thin Kelly is getting. I think she is getting too skinny!

Regis is a busy guy and perhaps he will be back. It was not announced that he left so it is a sheduling thing for now. They were a team and chemistry can be hard to duplicate. I like him a bit better than Kelly. She is a bit too voicy for me. I really don't watch them like I used to. Martha is not even the same.

I'm sure he'll be back. I didn't mean to imply he was gone or going somewhere. He just took a week (I presume) vacation after their being out in Hollywood. Thanks for replying to this discussion.

Hmmm... I won't miss him. I've never watched the show. I have a full time job and I've never been home to watch those AM talk shows and what have you. I guess he is retiring or something? He has the right to do that, and TV will live on. IT's survivied without Johnny Carson, I think it can survive without Regis Philbin.

no, Regis is not going anywhere...he just has not been on the show this past week....vacation. I assume he'll be back Monday. I suspect he will retire some day but that will be a while I'm sure. THanks for adding your comments to this discussion.

I agree, Regis is the show. I liked Kelly went she started, but now she has forgotten who really is the King. I don't miss KLG one bit.

I miss Kathy Lee...I find her still funny and interesting when she guests on another show. But she was getting old/worn out on the Live show. Not old in age sense...just been there/done that type of impression. She was sort of on automatic pilot he last year or two. I think in someways Kelly has gotten smoother.
