For the second time I am reading a book called Love, Acceptance & Forgiveness. It may take me a while to finsh it this time, as I am applying it to my life as I go. This book is like no other I have ever read. It got excellent reviews on Amazon.com, so I had to purchase it and see for myself how wonderful it is. It talks about how friendship is a commitment that should never be broken no matter what happens. When we don't forgive people we are not allowing them to be human, because all humans make mistakes. We enter into judgement about people when we assume that what they have done to us was intentionally done to hurt us. God is the only just judge and that is why he commands that we forgive and leave the judgement to him. The Bible says that men look on the outward appearance, but God looks on the heart. He knows the end from the beginning and if he forgives, who are we not to forgive. I want to please God, so if he tells me to forgive, then thats all I want to do. To truly forgive is to at as though the offense never even happened. To love the same way you did before it happened. Can you think of anything that you can't forgive? Once you do, forgive it whole-heartedly and go from there.
