I think you have to add it to your interest list. I found it under 'pets I like', and the subheading, 'lemurs'. There were half a dozen photos listed there.

No kidding, can you imagine having them as a pet? I think it's just an easy way to find the subject. I found this info on their habitat at http://nationalzoo.si.edu
Distribution and Habitat
Lemurs survive only on the island of Madagascar off the southeast coast of Africa in the Indian Ocean (shown in green), and on the neighboring Comoros islands. The various species of lemurs can be found in habitats as different as the lush, wet, rainforest of eastern Madagascar and the very dry spiny desert in the southwest.

There's something about them that I find mildly creepy although I like them. They remind me a little bit of possums.

I love lemurs, too, but not as much as my youngest son. He has managed to collect 3 different styles of stuffed lemurs and is always on the lookout for more. They are FREAKY looking!!

Unfortunately lemurs are endangered. Ringtail lemurs are actually one of the most successfully captive bred primates . They are pretty common in zoos around the US. Sadly even with the surplus of available lemurs they cannot be kept as pets without a license to keep endangered primates, which generally requires you to have past experiences with primates.
