We certainly celebrate St.Paddys day here in Newfoundland. All the business's and malls are all decorated with green streamers, balloons, and even green lights in the ceilings. The schools celebrate the occasion and bars serve green beer and many stores celebrate the day with various sales. He was a patron saint to say the least.

I like to celebrate it just for fun. I wear green and all that. My family used to make corned beef and cabbage for dinner, and this year I am carrying on that tradition. I am making corned beef with cabbage, potatoes, and carrots, Irish soda muffins, and shamrock-shaped mint ice-cream sandwiches. I'm looking forward to it!
There are also stores around here as well who do St. Patrick's day sales.
It's just a fun little thing to celebrate for me! :)

Tradition is a wonderful thing, its nice that you are going to continue it. Its pleasant memories that your family shares, I can still remember the pudding my mom would make when I was little. Now when I bake it and the smells go through the kitchen its almost as if I was taken back in time to a wonderful place in my childhood.
Thanks for posting!
