Do you have days when you want to change your name from Mom or Dad?

I've had another one of those days where its so tempting to stick your head out the door and scream: "No! I'm not answering to that anymore!" (LOL). You know when you hear that all-so-familar: "I'm telling!" ... followed by ... "Mooooooooommmmeeeeee!" (or for you guys, its "Daaaaaadddddeeeee!").
Bless their hearts - we make them, feed them, clothe them, give them accessories, try to teach them manners and morales and so on, but at times I go loopy when I hear that whiny, pesky sound come out of their mouths.
Then again, when they are doing homework and helping each other, the older kids help the younger wash and dress for bed, they are are tucked into their beds and apparently slumbering away. What Angels!Until you get to the livingroom, put on a good movie, snuggle next to your mate, and you hear: "I'm telling! Mooooooommmmmeeeeeee!"

Yep, you spend a couple of years waiting for them to talk, and then you wish they'd hush up!

Well I am only a part time mum now so I don't hear it as often as I used too. But I totally understand what you mean and I think it is nice to get a break from being frumpy mumsy to being your own individual self..it's nice to be both and a lot of blessings come with that holy word MUM lol..
