which do you prefer to love or to be loved?

this is the question my literature professor in college. she asked us if what should we rather be.. be a lover or be the one whod be love? i dont know if your going to agree with this, but according to the survey most girls prefer to be loved. even i, do have the same answer. maybe because we girls always wanted attention specially if it's from our lover or from someone we love. aside from that, in the survey, it also appears that most girls would choose to be someone who love them than someone who they love. maybe because we want security also. in love we dont want to be get hurt so we rather go to a person that we know who wont hurt us. and the boys,.. in the survey it happened that they are the lover. they really want the girl they love. i thinks that's the reason why in nature the boys are the who court the girls and we girls choose from our tutors. what do you think guys??
