home made mothers day gift how do you feel about it ?  

i think mothers often prefer things that you have put some of your own thought into andnot just a bunch of flowers you have picked up!

When i was 16 I didnt have much money.At work they use to throw away all sorts of pieces of wood so I asked for some bits and I made my mum a little book shelf.Then painted it with some paint I already had. It looked really good.I had never done anything like that before so I was very proud of it and my mum loved it.

I think the vase you made sounds lovely. I know that I much prefer gifts that my children have made for me to ones that they have purchased at the store. When they make me something , it's from the heart. When they buy me something from the store, they will usually just grab the first thing that says "mother" on it.

When a mothers children are young they always make her home made things for mothers day and she loves and treasures these things more then anything. Why should it change when that child is an adult? I get home made gifts for special occasions and I can tell you, they are some of my favorite things. My best friend decorated a ceramic plate for my wedding present and for the birth of my daughter. They are beautiful works of art and cannot ever be replaced. I'm sure your mother will love the vase :)

I used to give my mom homemade gifts for mother's day but I stopped doing that. Whenever she gets angry she always say that I only give her gifts to compensate for my wrong doings and then she'll break the gift I gave her. I'm human and I make mistakes sometimes, but she wouldn't understand that. She's too unreasonable.

I think it's the thought that counts. Any gift that you give with your heart is the perfect gift for a Mother.
