If you have been looking for a camp for children with disabilities or health problems the dont look to far its just around the corner. There are several summer camps that are speciffically for children with these problems, and they are free of charge to the parents. one of these is THE VICTORY JUNCTION CAMP. it was founded by Kyle and Pattie Petty in memory of their son Adam that died in a NASCAR accident during a practice one year.

Check with your family doctor to find some of the summer camps that might be appropriate for your child. A friend of mine has a diabetic daughter and recently her doctor recommended a really nice 1-week high adventure camp for diabetics. It is a bit expensive but the doctor said that if the child will go, he will apply for special funding that will cover the cost. Her daughter is really looking forward to this camp.

thats awesome; but if she checks into the victory junction camp or there are actually several out there that are associtated with the Paul Newman foundation that are absolutely free of charge to parents. and all health care is also provided there as well with a full service hospital on the grounds. to find out about others in the area where you live check the victory junction camp website and it will tell of others that are the same. its really great. they even work with children with diabetes as well as asthma.
