|  former finalists to compete in a one night, winner-take-all event, who would you select? I think it would be an awesome idea to have a "best of" show where the best five, maybe even ten, former finalists come back, get one chance to perform, and the winner takes the title of "Best American Idol" contestant not to win. I'm making it five for me cause I don't want to go that far back, but you can add more if you like. The only requirement is that the singer you select must have been a finalist in their season and did not win. (runner-ups count.)

1.) Chris Daughtry (season 5)
2.) Clay Aiken (season 2)
3.) Tamyra Gray (season 1)
4.) Kimberly Locke (season 2)
5.) Jennifer Hudson (season 3)
it was difficult for me to get to those conclusions: names I left out, but could be in a top 10 include:
-George Huff(season 3), Paris Bennett(season 5), Josh Gracin (season 2), Diana DeGarmo (season 3), and Latoya London (season 3).

This show would be a great season in itself. I would love to see my favorite former Idol contestants together, for one night, just throw the gauntlet down. With each of them bringing their best competition, it would be great.
And yah, I forgot about Bo Bice... he'd definitely get into my competition as well. | | | |

| |  If I had to pick 5 finalists from previous seasons to do the best of the best show, I would pick the following:
1. Chris Daughtry - This rocker can really sing!
2. Vonzell Solomon - I can't forget her rendition of "I Have Nothing". I think it's even better than the original.
3. Elliot Yamin - One of the best male voices I have heard on American Idol.
4. Anwar Robinson - This guy is not only goodlooking but can sing well too!
5. Mandissa (?) - This girl can outstage everyone with the power of her voice.

I forgot about Vonzell... I loved her, and you are absolutely right about her rendition of 'I Have Nothing' I can't believe I for got here. and of course elliott... it would be tough to have a show like this.
They might have to do a Top 24 or something again.
Just an awesome allstar show regardless. Something like when they did World Idol, but with all American Idol contestants. | | | |
