Drinking and driving? Confusion!!!!!

Government says that drinking and driving cannot go hand in hand but if one goes to a pub in his car, then how will one come back. So is that drinking with driving. Confusion!!!!

Call someone and get a ride home or take a taxi. Duh!

What exactly is confusing about it?
* You get someone else to drive you to the bar, and pick you up.
* You catch a taxi there, and either get someone to pick you up, or taxi it home.
* Pick one person each time you go out to be the designated driver. A person who doesn't drink for the night. Alternate it each time you go out.
Drinking and driving is illegal because it's dangerous.
