Do you buy presents for your animal at Christmas time?  

Yes, at Christmas time we do buy our cat joey a present also. Our cat is part of the family and must be treated the same. Last christmas joey got some cat treats that he really likes.

Of course not, they will never appreciate that. Maybe just give them good food and good bath, a pat or just talking them for a walk, playing with them will most likely give their hearts a leap.

yes i do.i bought my birds some treats for their christmas gift this past year.i had it all wrapped up and ready to give to them the day that christmas came.i took one bird at a time and opened the gift and gave it to the one bird.second done the same thing and so on.i know that this sounds crazy in a way to some ppl,but i love my birds that much,and i think that they do have feelings as well.and can be hurt when seeing me and my spouse open ours.so we buy them a gift for each of them.we have three cockatiels and bought all three of them a seperate gift for each other.they enjoyed the gift.and i seperated them all three to get their own gift so they could each enjoy it by themself.i've always done this,and my mother says i am a nut for doing it this way.but each bird has its own seperate feelings.

We usually do buy them stuff, but we don't wrap it or put it under the tree usually, because we usually buy them treats of food or cat nip and, even though they are very well behaved, I don't want to tempt them into "opening" their presents early.

Absolutely. They all get their own little treat. Two christmases ago my mother and I happened to be out shopping and we actually found christmas stockings like those you put up for your kids but for your cat and god. They were little red stockings with either a cat or dog head on the top with something like 'Don't forget the Cat/Dog' depending on what animal you brought of cause. Needless to say we were suckers and brought one for each of them. That year we filled them up (we'd got all four cats, and dog that year, two of the cats in the November) it was literally replacing old toys from previous cats/dog with new ones for them. Last christmas they each just got a little something in there.

Even before we got the stockings we'd always put a little something under the tree for our pets. They are members of our family after all. :D

I buy my cats a present every year and they love it, this last christmas they got some new cat nip toys and some very smelly fish treats, they couldn't wait for the wrapping to come off as the smell was driving them crazy!!
Why shouldn't they join in the fun of christmas they are part of the family as well. I'm still picking up little balls of wrapping paper from under the sofas and cupboards! LOL!!
