my favorites were spirograph, shrinky dinks, the original atari system (tho it's truly sad in comparison now),
and of course,my mego KISS dolls (which i still have).
anybody remember the 6 million dollar man doll with the peephole in the back of his head? LMFAO :)=)

I loved frisbees and those string art kits. Don't forget the first video game of them all... PONG! Hated the Rubiks Cube (I could never EVER get it). Were Pet Rocks the stupidest thing ever invented?

I had the bionic woman and her blew up house :) Oh yeah boy am I feeling old at the moment. I also have a princess Leia doll complete with the little plastic donuts to make her hair look right. I might bring back some memories with this one, a Marie Osmand doll. In the purple dress she wore for the tv show. Those were fun. So were light brites, baby alive, and we had intelivision but I think that last one was more into the 80's.

mom will never admit it,but i think she bought that doll more for herself-she watched their show, not me.

There are a couple of toys I remember...the EasyBake oven is still around, i purchased one for my daughter when she was smaller, and we baked cookies and cakes, I remember the cake being so much bigger tho..lol..
I remember the year my mom got me a film projector to, had comic strips of Archie and Betty, and you had to pull it across the the light and it would show on the wall. I thought that was pretty cool..but the year my mom purchased our first computer...it was a Commodore 64??..prehaps even the name is wrong..there was a game called "Jaw Breaker"..oh my god that game just bout drove all of us insane. Shoot, all these years later and now i got the song stuck in my head...thanks alot Scarlet..hehe...nice discussion..

Gotta be the Atari! I remember getting my
first Atari in late 70's, early '80's.
It was so much fun. We loved
playing the baseball.
It was funny. The little guy in the outfield
would always throw his fit.
Later we got the Nintendo and that had
way better graphics.
I don't think we ever upgraded beyond that.
Kids these days are so lucky.
All the games are so much more fun and realistic.
Though I did like Atari Pacman!
