I think if I was told I had 3 months to live I'd fret to death, simply worry myself to death. They say if you're a good christian you'll trust in the lord and fear no evil. I guess I'm not at that point in my life. I watched my dad die a slow death and I sure don't want my family to see me go the same way. Yes I am very scared of death. Guess I just want to be around with my family. In answer to the question I don't know what a person would actually do till you're in that awful situation. Take care

Fear is the psychological and physical reaction to circumstances that you cannot control. If you can control a situation you will have no fear of it. Being out of control of a situation means that someone else is in control and humans do not tend to trust strangers and often do not trust people they know. To allow someone you may not trust to control a situation that affects you is the ultimate in fear.

In one word - ignorance. One should only be fearful of something because they don't know or aren't educated about the subject. We all have a "fear" of something yet if asked why we fear it we probably couldn't give an educated answer to why we are fearful. For example, spiders. Yes some are poisonous and could be fatal if they bite us. BUT if we are educated in knowing why and how they attack, what they look like, etc. we could just avoid them and no risk is further involved. Cuz seriously, we are WAY bigger then the lil suckers - why be fearful? And another big one is guns. If we know that there is the potential to be in or near the "wrong place" or fall in with the "wrong crowd" then education tells us not to stay in the area or associate with those people. As with handling firearms. Simply put, if you don't know who to use them - then don't own one or handle one.

The biggest fear I would say is the fear of death though. And the only thing I can suggest on getting over that is spirituality. Whether you're Christian, Jewish, Hindu or even an Atheist, if your spirituality can educate you on living life to the fullest and look forward to the reward for living a moral, just and happy life then you can look forward to the time when you body can finally rest. If you lose someone, you can take solace in knowing that they are now resting peacefully and celebrate the life they had while they were here rather than how it affects us now that they are gone.
