which is better? final fantasy 6 or final fantasy 7?

I've found that in other realms of the internet, this question is the surest way to spark a heated argument. Fans are very adamant in their particular FF loyalties. At least, that was the way it was a few years ago. I avoided those areas of the internet for a while..

Personally, I like 7 the best. I just adore the music, and the story... I'm not really sure what it is. It's one of the few games that I really can play over and over and over again. I first played it back in 97, and I'd still love to play it right now. If my Disc 1 wasn't messed up, and my old memory cards stolen. Doesn't even load.*sniff*

I have discovered a positive correlation between first FF and favorite FF. That is... most of the time when someone played FF6 first, it's their favorite. Usually it's people who played FF7 first who like it the best. I've run into people who started with 1 or 2 (4). They're a toss-up. This is just from years of talking with people about the subject.

I will say, I despised FFX, and its horrible, doomed (sorry, Zim moment..) sequel X-2. To be fair, I didn't really play X-2 at all. I played FFX a little ways in, but it just wasn't interesting to me. It didn't feel like a Final Fantasy. And this was before they blasphemed the rest of the way and made a sequel. It's purely fan service. People couldn't handle that the original ended the way it did, (I've been talked to about it by a few different people) so they released a sequel that had lots of CILF's (Cartoons I'd Like to.. you know.) in ridiculous, not to mention scandelous, clothing toting guns. Sure they continued the story... but Final Fantasies aren't meant to continue that much.. and not when they're just plying an idea to a group of fans simply to pick them up by their ankles and shake the money out of them.

For me, I like FF 7 than FF 6. It's bacause the plot of the story is as good as a movie

Its pretty close considering all their good and bad points. The biggest thing...

Sephiroth took over the plant and had three form, Kefka on the other hand had like seven forms and he showed up in at least 2 games as the villain, now that just shows Kefka's coolness.

But if I had to choose which was better, I think 7 had the better system and graphics while 6 had the better story. But neither is superior to other one.

7 is the best no doubt

never tried 6 but i dont think it can take on 7 im pretty sure but since i have never tried 6 i guess my vote dont count:P
