Lucille Ball memories  

Lucille Ball was a fantastic actress. One of my favorite movies with her is "Yours, Mine and Ours". She plaed a widow with 8 children who meets a widower with 10 children. I'm sure you can imagine the rest. My favorite scene with her in the I love Lucy show was the Vitamine syrup that made her drunk. That was a great scene and the one that made sure from now on they only use colored water in tv/movies, yes she really was drunk from it.

My favorite was the one where Lucy and Ethel get a job in a candy factory and the bonbons are going by too fast and they start popping them in their mouth...

I still smile as Lucy and Ethal are working the chocolate factory or the scen of Lucy squashing grapes!!I enjoyed watching,all of her shows(Here's Lucy,The Lucy Show,I Love Lucy and a short-lived series with her and Gale Gordon in the 70's that lasted only a few episodes).Today's shows are much more explicit than the shows of yesteryear.They seem to rely almost on the shock factor and pushing the envelope.

I Love Lucy is classic comedy. I don't know if any comedy can compete with it because it was a different style of comedy than what you see today. My favorite Lucy show was the 'Vitavegavitamin' commercial she was trying to do and it contain something that was making her drunk.

I hated I Love Lucy, but I loved her in "Yours, Mine and Ours"! She was also great in "Mame." She was a good actress, I'm just not fond of sitcoms, I don't much care for the modern ones either.

I grew up with Lucy. I cant remember the name of the show but the one I liked best was the one where her and Ethel were stommping the grapes in order to make wine. That was helarious. I still watch the reruns when they come on. The commedy of today is completely different than Lucy. Her's was clean family entertainment that anyone could watch. Can't say the same thing about the comedians of today.

I use to watch her everyday when I was just a kid.LOL I didnt know they were still showing her shows. I love Lucy was a great show.

I love I Love Lucy...lol and I force my husband to watch the reruns with me. I have my very own Ricky Ricardo straight from Cuba and he is so much like him it's funny. He doesn't see it though... My favorite episode is when she thinks she is going to be the star of an Italian movie and goes to a vineyard to learn to stomp grapes for "acting ability" turns out she is completely stained, the director was making a picture with the word grapes not about grapes and he decides to use Ethel instead !! I don't think today's comedy can hold a candle to sitcoms even from as late as the 80's. I have lost interest in all sitcoms really. It's sad.

I like the episode where lucy is making wine and she has to get in the barrel and step on the grapes. I thought that was very funny. I have not seen this show in years. I am surprised that I remember this episode so vividly. I always thought this show was funny and my mom liked it too.

My biggest memories of Lucille Ball are actually that my best friend's MOM loved her! She would crack up laughing and loved to watch old reruns of I Love Lucy.

I got a laugh out of it when I was little, but I don't always like the slapstick comedy. And I actually get frustrated with some of the shows - where she makes a mess of things. I don't know why shows like that really stress me out... I hate watching stuff get destroyed.... like disastors in the kitchen, falling pianos, burst pipes... So yeah, I don't always like the Three Stooges either!!
