Basically, if you have a baby, you know you cant rely on your own parents to always take care of bub if you want to go out, you have to be the one that is responsible for the baby if you choose to have it. You can still have a life but it just probably wont be as extravigant (sp?) as you'd have liked. I'm not really sure exactly how it is to be a young parent but as an average aged parent i have come to realise that making sure my daughter is happy & well taken care of, i have had to sacrifice quite a bit but i am more than happy to do that coz i chose to become a parent & she means more to me than ANYTHING!

Also, during the day time you have to be constantly aware that now you have a responsability to your child and cannot just take off with your friends. If you choose to have a baby at a young age be aware that it is hard work.

If you are ok with just abandoning your child and going out to party then I am sure you could still go out and have "fun". I dont know how anyone could though - I feel guilty when I go to the mall without my son. Being a parent is a hard job, but if you are ready for children then you will be more than willing to take your new role as a parent seriously and partying will be a thing of the past, but you wont mind one bit.

You are responsible for a whole new life. You can't go out and party and go to clubs EVERY weekend. But you can still go sometimes. Only now you have to find a baby sitter. One good idea is the grandparents and another good idea is a baby sitter that you pay. especially if it is someone you trust. And if you plan to be out very late then you can get someone who will come to your house and baby sit and spend the night. That would be convenient. Becoming a parent was a hard thing to adjust to. But once you get used to it then it is great. And there will come a day when you won't even be able to remember what it was like before children. It will seem like no big deal. I love being a parent. I wouldn't trade it for anything. At some point, people come to realize that night life and partying isn't everything. There are somethings more important like family.
