Why is it unreasonable to ask a psychic for lottery numbers?

It seems like people who believe in psychics get awfully defensive whenever people ask why you never see a headline in the paper that reads "psychic wins lottery". But why is that an unreasonable statement? You DON'T ever see that headline, and psychics are the ones who claim to be able to predict the future, so why is it unfair or wrong to ask why they can never come up with a sports score, or lottery numbers, or the exact results of an election, or some extremely specific piece of information that would prove their legitimacy?
