Hi ppl I have not been on too much recently because i got really ill last Tuesday night. I had what my Dr is calling a sinkable episode. She is not sure why I am having them but i have ended up in emerg and am generally exhausted. so next week i am having to wear a Holter( think that's how it is spelt and a blood pressure monitor. No one i have talked to know what a blood pressure monitor looks like or how big. the reason i ask is i have to go to my ASL class on the same night and really want to be able to hide it. So does anyone know. TIA

A Holter monitor would definitely be concealable and could at least go in a pouch. I would have thought that the blood pressure monitor would be combined with the Holter, but if it's separate I'm not too sure how big it would be but I really don't think it would be a problem for you to hide it somehow. Also so you know, it's "syncopal episode", as in syncope, just in case you try to look it up that's how you'll find it. :)

thank you for your response. And for the correction on the spelling its all new to me I am still trying to come to grips with all. i will be glad when they know whats going on so that my family will at least let me go out alone again. I love them all but i am feeling soooooooooo smothered by it all.

Syncope can be caused by a great many things from dehydration to valve problems in the heart. In a lot of cases it's not really too big of a deal. So don't worry too much just yet.
