I would strongly suggest that you stay away from any site that asks for your money. 99% of the time they are scams. Survey sites promise you big rewards for completing their questionaires, but they only send you surveys that apply to your life and sometimes you won't be asked to take a survey for months. When you do, it most likely pays less than a few dollars, even if they promised you more. If companies really wanted your opinion, they would be paying you as an incentive, not requiring you to pay them. If it sounds too good to be true, DON'T DO IT! I've heard of some free survey sites out there, you might want to try one of those. Also, beware of people who try to encourage you to join the site. They might only be trying to get you as a referral, so that they can make money from your efforts. There may be a few people out there who have made a bit of money through such sites, but the majority probably never make a dime, but are out a significant amount of cash due to the registration fee.

well i dont like earning by taking surveys and so i my answer will be a little biased to you!!!
i am of the opinion for the time being that any site that asks you for money so that you can earn money in the long run is a scam!!!

Hi there. I'm sure that there are some out there who may have a different story, but for what it's worth, here's mine.
I fell into the "paid surveys" trap. This site that you mention in your title is the same one that I used as well. I paid the money and was given access to a huge list of different companies to sign up with. It also came with some tips to make the most of doing surveys. One of these tips is to sign up with as many companies as you can, as quickly as you can.
Well, long story short; I signed up with 130 companies, did countless surveys, and aside from the six whole dollars and some points (you have to have a lot of these built up before they are of any use) that I made; I also got a huge amount of junk mail that tied up my email account.
I did this for a month before I even got one paid survey and it was only for two dollars! I wrote to SurveyScout and asked them, "What am I doing wrong? Where are all the paid surveys at? They sent me an email two weeks later that said I needed to be patient, I should start receiving higher paid surveys any time now. Well, it never happened! I know that they offer a money-back guarantee, but needless to say the time to claim it had run out in the two weeks that I was waiting to hear back from them.
The morning that I checked my email inbox and there were over 2000 items of junk in it was the day that I said forget it! Out of all those companies, there were only 2 (if memory serves me correctly) that were worth anything; it still however was certainly not worth my $39.95! Most of these companies that they give you just want your contact information so they can give it to their partner sites. This way they can't get into trouble for selling your information; but they sure do cram up your inbox with all sorts of junk.
My advice to you is DON'T DO IT! I have fallen into this trap, wasted a month and a half of my time on it and all I have to show for it is six dollars and some points. As bummed out as I was, and still am, about the whole situation; I'm glad that I can now use the experience to help someone else avoid the same pitfall that tripped me up.:)

there are legit survey sites out there. however ANY site that requires a "fee to sign up" or a fee to "access their list" is a SCAM! period.

NO survey company will EVER pay you the outrageous amounts that a lot of places claim. i have been doing surveys for about 5 years now..and the largest single payment ive gotten was $20 for one survey that was for a product evaluation over a month. they certainly DONT PAY $100 a survey!! EVER.
