sI do envy people who are so creative. I know it does not always keep the bread buttered, but hopefully, with such wonderful work, that will be turning around. I am impressed with how easy it is to navigate your website, as well.

I´ve watched your video for the second time (last one was about 3 weeks ago), we commented about it.
I love your "Scherenschnitte", it just looks so easy and natural when you do it, but I know it takes a lot of expertise and talent to create such neat and beautiful work.
I can´t even cut a straight line, lol.
My daughter watched the video with me and she couldn´t believe that there weren´t any traces on the paper. She thought that they might just be invisible to the camera, lol.
Your artwork is unique. I love it (and so does my daughter).
Bless you, Margie.

Dana, bless you and your daughter. And, no, there are no traces on the paper. All freehand. Thanks sweetie. Bless you .

Wow, impressive. For some reason the sound didn't work, but just watching you cut out those silhouettes was something. I loved the way you just go right to cutting the detail and with such precision. I was always taught to cut out the basic shape and then go back and cut in the details.
And I love the watercolors you did to, so pretty.

It is an old art from Germany called scherenschnitte. It's taking a plane black paper and cutting out freehand. It was used in the old days before cameras were invented. Thank you for your response and for looking.

I took a look at your site some time back as I have a grandaughter who is very artistic but whe had never heard of a silhouette. I heard my wife trying to explain to her and as she wasn't making a very good job of it,and she logged on to your site so that my grandaughter could watch the video. She was very impressed and have been trying her best to do silhouettes ever since. I must congratulate you on your artistic talents. You are a genius.

Thank you dear. It's a lost art. Only 100 artists in the world left. None that do what I do, if you look at my website.

BLIMEY !! I watched you cut out that head silhouette in amazement .. I'd still be turning the first corner heheh !!
You certainly do have a gift for freehand cutting .. I bet you pay a lot of money for your scissors ... really good 'precision snippers' are very expensive here ..

Your one very talented lady hun and I tip my hat to you.I love your water colours :) I have seen a program on silhouettes and it is extremly hard and takes alot of concentration and steadyness. They showed a couple on Antique Auctions and they were made in the 1900's and it had such great detail for being made by candlelight bless. They say this is a dying art....I say your giving it the life it deserves. Great site and keep up your great talent hun xxx

Sweetpeas, thank you for your kind words. Yes, it is a lost art. 100 people left in the whole world that do the faces. No one that does what I do for the galleries, nor in the size I work in. All freehand with a scissor. Glad you had a moment to look. I just wish I knew how to promote the website and the store. Have a wonderful day dear.

I have watched your video and I was just fascinated by it. It was just magic. I once had some silhouettes done at a party and I can say with all honesty that they weren't nearly as good as yours. They guy was making a fotune out of the guests and his silhouettes were just rubbish. They were meant to look like each guest but every one of them was the same. You are really very artistic and your paintings are beautiful.

You are so sweet to say such a wonderful thing to me. Thank you Alexandria. I worked at Disney for awhile, and then left to go out on my own and do what I want. Cutting is my passion. I appreciate you looking and being so kind with your words to me. Thank you.
