This movie was so awesome! It was brilliantly directed and shot! I know that this is in the history books but obviously some parts are fiction or made up and it couldn't have possibly been made any better! I'm really picky with movies and it has to be super good in order for me to actually like it and talk about it like this! So go see it if you haevn't already, it's awesome!!

Certainly parts are fiction..it is a "re-telling" of the Battle of Thermopylae based on the epic graphic novel by Frank Miller.
Frank Miller also wrote the graphic novel Sin City.

300 is an absolutely terrific movie. the attitude, the valour the spartans display send a chill down my spine. so much to keep their honour. they challenged and even demured a person who projected himself as god. i think they were bogged down by the wrong priests who just had no respect for these warriors. my personal favorite line in the movie when the king says : SPARTANS NEVER RETREAT!!!!!!!!!!. the greatest sequence when the king as a young lad fights the beast and also , when he kicks the intruder into the well..
