The greatest love epic of all time

I'd have to say Romeo and Juliet.

Tristan and Isolde was an epic tale of two young lovers who couldn't be together for a very good reason...their countries were at war with each other, and they were both in high positions in their countries. If they were both nobodies then I don't think it would have mattered so much, but that wasn't the case. It's an excellent movie with a great storyline!

So my own personal favourites are Wuthering Heights. Romeo and Juliet. Casablanca. Gone with the wind!

I think if I had to pick one novel it would be Wuthering Heights. One film would be Casablanca!

Well, the first thing that comes to mind is Helen of Troy.. I could see how their love affect the history. Imagine how their love cause the world at war, it's very interesting..

1) TRISTAN and ISOLDE --> if you didn't know their story better think again. it is truly an epic. its amazing how tristan decided not because it is easy, but because it is right.:)) and for me that is simply brave. he sacrifice his happiness for his love to BRITAIN..:)) although he also realize that without love he is nothing, his life is empty.

Three come to mind. Titanic, the English Patient and Dr.Zhivago.
