I don't have any disabilities yet, but as I get older, it's getting harder for my to do things because of arthritis, and eventually I may need help. I'm always trying to find easier ways to do things so I don't get too sore.

| | 2.  academic2 (5135) | 3 years ago |  The chalenges that come with disabilities are real-but as a disabled person myself, I know the more you stand up to these challenges tall and bold, the better it is that you will overcome them.
The problem we face is that sometimes we take too long to come to terms with our disabilities, especially f this disability came our way later in life! I met my own disability when I had just finished university and gotten a good job with government-infact I met the accident on duty-but it took me 2 years to come to terms with my disability. Those were two wasted years! We are all potentially disabled, when it finally arrives on your plate, carry it boldly along.
Secondly, I feel the other avenue of overcoming the challenges is to associate with disability groups, you will get access to vital information that could help promote your coping.Please join me in believing that disability is and will never be inability!

 txwoman36 (163) | 3 years ago | with my situation i have had this disability all my life. i have had some struggles but having the things that have happened to me has made me a stronger person. it can be hard to get help but keep trying and you will find the help you needed. there are some organizations out there that help people with disabilities. i have been lucky to have found an organization and they have helped me a great deal. my parents try and do the best they can for me. i have a brother that doesnt have a disability and they do what they can for him too. | |

| txwoman36 (163) | 3 years ago | yes it is nice to be able to discuss things we go through and be able to vent. when i was in school it was easier to get help when you need it but as an adult is is hard to get help. you have to do alot of calling and alot of times get the runaround. i wish things would get better about getting help but dont think it will happen. im very lucky that i have parents that are there for me and do what they can to help me. | |
