Does anyone agree there are to many fake profiles on myspace? The site was great 3 or 4 years ago when I first got on there. I mean I love the idea everyone is using it today but there are people acting like famous people, or stars or someone there not. The other day I was just browsing people in my area notice a pic of a girl I know and it wasnt even her name was HEATHER and the real girl is actually SIERRA. I just think the site is getting out of hand. I know its hard for them to scan through every profile but wish this problem could be fixed soonier than later!!

Yeah you get it right dude! LOts of people are doing the same way, They feel like they are celebrity which is not! they are using other's people pictures or even the pictures of the famous hollywood stars or models... We should not tolerate them but what can we do? we cant stop them doing that as its a way of expressing their imaginations, their wild dreams, their desires so i think we should stick on the fact that we shall let them! have a nice day!

I agree. And I am one of them. I am just playing around. There are alot of fake profile these days. Why do you have to take everything so serious? MySpace to me is use for entertainment. I am not using it to meet a guy. I am not faking it to deceive people. It's bad to meet a guy online. You never know what they are really like. If I wanted to meet someone, I rather know them face to face. Don't take everything so seriously online. My new MySpace profile: http://www.myspace.com/kiteaji You can easily see I am just playing around. Having fun while you still can. Live a little. Go with the flow. The people who fake their age and profile info to meet younger girls, that is just bad. It need to stop. But who are u kidding you can't stop it.

To try and get as many friends as possible maybe? Or maybe to sell something. I accepted someone as a friend once, and all I got from her were bulletins posting some product. Another time I got a friend request from a poor sad Italian Immigrant who was just so lonely and picked me out special to be his friend. His picture was really hot, and I don't think he was that sad and lonely. I think some of these profiles exist to sell things.

I agree, but this happens everywhere. It just seems to stand out more with Myspace because it is very popular. There have been fake profiles on Yahoo, AOL, dating sites, forums, you name it, basically since the internet has been around. I wish though, that Myspace would take a more active approach since it is one of the most visited sites on the internet these days.
