Longest time take by you for capturing a picture

Most of the photos we will wait for a minor two to adjust zoom,effects and then we take the snap....And share your experience here....for which photo you waited for the longest time to take a snap..

Butterflies ........... there is one type of flutter that I want to catch the picture(s). They always flutter away. The worst, they like trees! They stay so high away that I can't reach them. Too bad. I've been waiting just to capture their pictures ....... three months now ..... isn't that long enough?
I even have a camera, adjusted to the needs .... just for them!
