| | Hi Raptorbyt, Welcome to the drums! Are you saying that you do not have a single bass drum right now? or that you are thinking of adding another bassdrum? If you already own a single bass drum you can always buy a double pedal (most death metal drummers and the like use these while touring. I use pearl eliminators) mainly because yes, two bass drums look neat, but it's a pain to lug around, plus it's another head you have to tune and replace. You also can begin doing paradiddles between the hi-hat and bass drum to get your left foot working up to your right. If you are looking to be a double bass drummer I can't emphasize enough to practice rudiments with your feet. I know it's hard and annoying and boring, but you will shine over the rest of the guys who "just want to be fast" - speed will come, and it takes awhile. And this is a personal thing, I do not like paiste, I feel they are overpriced and have witnessed their so called quality fail multiple times. Have fun | | | | | | | | | | Web Host and Profit 14 day free trial with 6 free tools Autoresponder, Blogger, and more http://nyempire.gogvo.com | add comment | | | |
