Making your own Body Scrubs, do you do it to be frugal?

I have tried making my own to save some money but it just does not work out as well as I would like. Anyone here make their own scrubs and if so, do you have a recipe for it?

Hi smellsyummy. I had to ask my husband what was a body scrubs. he said it's a sponge that you use to shower or bathe? Okay, I don't make my own scrubs because they are already cheap. Well I think it's not really what you are talking about heh?

That is too funny...asking a guy about a bath and body product hardly ever gets the right answer;) I think he is thinking of a bath pouf...and they make exfoliating gloves too. What I was hoping for were some good scrub recipes. They consist of sugar, fragrance oils, a cleanser of some type for a foaming effect, and shea butter. I can't find a recipe that works as good as the scrubs I get at the specialty stores though:( If you want to see some good ones, go to Sephora.com they have some of the most amazing brands ever. I like the scrub by L'Occitone the most, but it is so expensive.

Hi smellsyummy you got me laugh at this one! Unfortunately I don't have a recipe. But I know that you can use the white of a raw egg (not the yellow part). You spread it on your face and your neck and don't move while you let it dry. Once it's dry you rinse it. It cleans your face really good. You can touch your face and you will feel that it is smooth. Thank you for the link!

Hey VotreAmie, I have tried the egg white mask and you are so right, it makes your skin super soft and tightens pores too! Love this:)
