Where there is a will there's a way!!

So friends,here's an very ancient proverb "where there's a will there's a way", I just want to know that how far does this proverb prove itself, have you ever been in such a situation and did you find out a way? or do you totally disagree with it.
It once so happened with me that we were given some home-work in our school and I forgot to do that and when the teacher asked for the home-work, the peon came to the class room and told the teacher that the principal has been calling him so he had to go and by the time he returned the lecture got over and few of us were saved.
So I have faced such a situation what about you people, sure you might have something interesting too.
