Red Onions are good raw, Grilling or putting on sanwhiches. I like them in my salads too. all Onions are healthy. soak the strong smelling Onions in cold water. Onion are 30 calories in a serving. Average person consume 21lbs. a year. White Onions are good for cooking I use them to make gravies. baking meats all kinds of food preparations. Yellow Onions. salads.White Onions, Vandilla Onions I like those Onions they are sweet. make Onion rings out of them. Green Onions. tell me what you use anyone of these Onions for. I use them all. I was Watching the Martha Steward show and came up with this discussion. Onion Protects your pbdy from alot of different things and are good to eat and use in food Preparations. + for everyone Yellow Onions Vadilla Onions Green Onions

As I live in Georgia very close to Vidalia we get lots of them and I bake them, this is my favorite recipe: 4 large Vidalia onions 1/4 cup cold butter, cut into pieces 1 teaspoon salt 1/4 teaspoon black pepper 1 cup shredded (fresh) Parmesan cheese PREPARATION: Peel onions, leaving roots intact. Cut each onion into eighths, cutting just to the root, but not through. Place each onion on a lightly greased square of foil. Press butter into onions, then sprinkle with salt, pepper, and cheese. Wrap in the foil then arrange in a 13 x 9-inch baking pan. Bake at 400 for about 1 hour. Serves 4.

That is a lot of info on onions my friend. Thank you for sharing. Have you ever tried to fry a whole onion in a deep fryer? Or, slice it and dip in batter and fry?

I use onions in just about everything I cook. I like to use all kinds of onions. They ae all good, specially the Vidalias, its too bad they don't last that long.

I love all onions too. I like adding green onions to green salads and as a topper to casseroles and baked dishes. (Especially creamy chicken enchiladas along with diced tomatoes.) I like red, yellow, and white onions and use them all interchangeably in recipes. I like yellow onions best in sautee. Red onions are great in pasta salads. I don't have a preference in most other dishes. I usually just buy a few at the store whenever they are on sale.

I like red onions in my salads too or on a burger and for cooking I dont even bother with cooking onions or yellow onions anymore...its always Vadiala's or Sweet Maya (which I actually think are the same thign LOL)...I like green onions in certain dishes and in salads also come to think of it...

i love onions too. i can eat it raw, i also put onions in my chicken salads. it taste good
