Dumb Laws in North Carolina

I thought this would be an interesting read. So here goes. . . It is against the law to sing off key, Elephants are not to be used to plow fields, If a man and a woman who aren't married go to a hotel and register as married, according to state law they are legally married, In Barber county it is illegal for dogs and cats to fight, Bingo games can not last over five hours,It is illegal to throw rocks at a city street. It is illegal to rollerblade on the highway (not to mention stupid)! In rocky Mount you are required to pay property tax on your dog!

These are great! I'm going to have to look up dumb Virginia laws now, I know we have plenty as well.
I think the one about the man/woman signing into a hotel as husband and wife makes them married, is true in South Carolina as well.
And, I thought bingo was entirely illegal in NC, as it is a form of gambling...I could be wrong, though, as that tidbit came from a real know-it-all to start with. ;)
