embarrasing moment

i was crazy about my former boss. I thought he was chatting with me and so I was bubbling with excitement telling my coworkers how I feel for an older man. I didn't drop names. So they kept thinking and figured out who I was talking about. It was too late when I realized that he's not the one I was flirting with. It was a complete stranger who knew everything about me. I was at a loss for words when they began swarming my desk and giving me funny looks. I didn't understood it right away, but when someone told me later on how mistaken I was, I couldn't rectify my big mistakes, and was so embarrassed to even see the shadow of my boss who's always around. He did something to keep me from dangerously falling in love with him. It was so humiliating but I couldn't do a thing about it. Fortunately, though, my manager let me go. When I look back, it's not as bad as it was before. At least, I learned how to love someone. He rejected me because he's my boss and he told everyone, including me, that he had five girlfriends. That didn't discourage me from mooning at him. It happened a few years ago. I can't even remember the feeling that I once had for him. He's just a vague memory.
