I grew up with the Kings James Version and when the new versions came out, I started with the Revised Standard and then went to the NIV. Now going through the internet, I learned the history of how these versions came about and that in some it gave a warning that "Not all --* meaning that certain parts were supposedly added later. Now logic dictates that when something is read over and over again, it deteriorates and so they have to recopy it, so that when it appears new, it is not really an original but a copy of the original. So in the Kings James Version, if everyone read the manuscript(s) on what it is based on, they will have to copy the manuscript(s) because the letters and words on the first one were fading because of so many fingers and handling. This the proponents of the RSV, NIV, and other versions failed to consider. What is your opinion and what version of the Bible do you read? I read the King James Version.

I have never read the bible and really don't ever plan to.
I have trouble with religion. I'm still waiting on someone to answer my question of Where did God come from?
Then maybe I can start believing somewhat.

God is from the beginning. There are three aspects of him, The Father, The Son who came to Earth as Jesus - the Christ, and the Holy Spirit who convinces men and women of their sin and works in their hearts. No one knows what God looks like, not even people like me who have good imaginations. HE is the creator of all things and is uncreated.
God is in Heaven and sees all. Heaven is a place outside of the ordinary sphere of things, and if you are a science fiction fan, the nearest would be that Heaven is in another dimension and you could take a ride on the fast spaceship and overcome the light speed barrier but never reach there. You cannot learn of God unless you read the Bible. You see, what you want is for God to not be God. Then what you really want is an idol, a super being like Superman.

Im reading almost all but I use the king JAmes version a lot. I know all versions are written differently but theres something hidden in it, and if you found out the truth all of the versions can only come up to the truth, and its just tht we just have different interpretations about it
