Classic Tie Dye for Kids

Try this supper easy tie dye for kids is done the "old school" way.

You need:
Fabric Dye
Rubber Bands
Rubber Gloves
Marbles
Tap Water
Tee Shirt or Bandana
Rit Dye is usually available in the housewares department of your local grocer or discount department store

Instructions:
For the purposes of simplicity, we chose to use one color per garment, rather than multiple colors that are so often seen. You can also use colored garments and use a contrasting dye color to achieve the same results. Begin by rubber banding your garment according to the design you wish to achieve. See the pictures below followed by the method in which to reach that result.

You know kathy this is so funny that you did this today , for dinner we had red cabbage and I said to my hubby that the water would have been brilliant for tie and die , we used to do this with the boys when they were young , My hands were blue for ages lol , brilliant discussion my friend xxx

Hi Kathy, As a teen of the 60's, I've known about this for a long time, when it started reviving in the late 80's early 90's, I made it a project to do with my teens.
Now it's becomming popular again, I hope you will have a lot of responses, and people will enjoy doing these projects with their kids. It's a lot of fun!
