hi,friend, here also there is a habit of singing songs to console or to get them sleep..but they are special for kids only and they are limited to 2,3 songs. The kids here don't show interest to sing when they grown up,and they also feel that these songs are for kids only.

My own children don't sing the lullaby songs which I used to sing to them but I used to sing them to my grandchildren when they were living with me. Now, the youngest, who is nine years old sings the lullaby songs to her dolls. She has a lovely voice and I love to hear her singing them.
