Do you give to charity?

I LOVE giving to charities. I have a thing about animal charity. I don't usually worry about people ones (Except I've given to Diabetes research). I used to sponsor a child, but I couldn't keep up with the monthly payments so they discontinued my membership. I thought that was odd. I made payments, but not every month. I But I give to so many animal charities that I can't even keep up with who I've given to. I was gonna start keeping a log book, but I've had to slow WAY down (well, I stopped all together because I ran into a road block in my finances). It's hard to throw away the pleas from abused animals, but hopefully soon I'll get back on my feet so that I can start back up again. When I was a kid, I wanted a job so bad so I could give to charity.
What do you give to?

I made and run a charity but not for animal, I choosed divorced woman, widow women, disables children and extreme poor woman who is lead in her family. I arrange work for them, render training, provide small cash loan after training and bring them under group savings for becoming them self-reliant.

I commend you for your work. That's really great. This world needs more compassionate people like us. I'd like to run a charity, even thought of running a safe park for abused or injured animals... or something like that. Where are you from?

About 10 years ago, one of those Christian organizations that sponser children came to our church. We picked out a 5 year old girl from Guatemala to sponser. We still have her. We also give to Joyce Meyer Ministries, and to The Disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ, a group of Nuns that are good friends of mine and who have prayed for my family and for me since I met them in 1991. They are very cool! http://dljc.org/ We also give a small monthly gift to EWTN the Catholic television station.

My prescher said today that even if you don't give to church, just GIVE. (I take it he was meaning that you aren't stuck giving ONLY to church, but can give in other ways as well) Having a giving spirit is how you lay up your treasures in heaven. Since I like to give to so many different projects, it's good that it isn't the 'WHO' I give to that matters, it's the fact that I'm giving.
