Writing songs when you're happy VS when you're sad... / myLot

I always found it quite interesting that when I'm sad I can write more creative songs and actually better songs than when I'm sad. Perhaps it's just me, how about you? do you have any experience with it?

I really can't write songs if I'm sad, 'cuz then I somehow just play chords on my guitar and not write any music. Just playing around and trying to get that sadness out of my system.

I dont know about writing songs but yes sometimes some rhyming songs ans some phrases come to mind whenever I experience cetain extreme feelings..I have never tought of jotting them down...Yes, sometimes I think how the poets find exact words and phrases to code thier feelings ..
