What happened to White Dog Poo?

I remember when I was growing up, and others my age I have spoke do also, white dog poo on the streets. It seemed to more be common in summer and it was all kind of crumbly.

But now you never see it,its dissappeared completely and im pretty sure goverments havent employed people to go and pick up just white dog poo. Where has it all gone? Why was it there in teh first place. The world is an intrigueing place.
