You need to put yourself through some totally English days with people who are English.

When I was a teenager, my best friend was from Quebec. Whenever I went to visit her, she would put me through a couple of French only days which meant that I was only allowed to speak French and people were only allowed to speak French to me. Those days helped my French immensely and my knowlege of the oral French language also carried over to the written word.

So, are there any places near you where the first language is English? Also, listen to English radio and TV. Being on myLot is a good step, too.

I try to learn a new word everyday. My language is English but I think it is a good practice to do this. Anyway I try to make a connection with something that reminds me of the word. For me that is a good way to remember a new word. Your English is very good. Pushing yourself is fine but not so hard that you get frustrated. English is a hard language to learn. One word can have many different meanings.
