| Has anyone seen The Last Mimzy? | | | | I saw The Last Mimzy today and really enjoyed it. Has anyone read the original story, “Mimsy Were the Borogoves”, by Henry Kuttner? It sounds like it might be somewhat different from the movie. Kuttner died in 1958 but apparently had some science fiction heavy-hitters as fans, like Ray Bradbury and Marion Zimmer Bradley. So, if you've seen it, what did you think of The Last Mimzy? | | | | | | | | | | Dreams& Visions Are we headed for disaster? A mind expanding novel: Goodbye Earth www.goodbyeearththebook.com

| | I seen the movie the Last Mimzy about 3 weeks before it came out, as they had a early sneak peek of it here in Cleveland. I loved the movie, it kinda almost reminded me of ET, but a stuffed Rabbit instead of a strange looking alien LOL. I would probably get it when it comes out on DVD. | | | | | | | | | | Local Coupons Ridiculously huge deals every day. Like doing your city at 90% off! www.Groupon.com | add comment | | | |

| | I had no idea upon watching this movie that I would leave thinking, "Hey, that was my worth my money." But I did. It begins with a simple family vacation where two children gain objects from a future earth that has been nearly destroyed by pollution not of any chemical or overuse of resources, but of decayed moral minds that has effected the human gene pool. The story is quite captivating from the beginning to the end. It has everything from drawings of Tibetan artwork hundreads of years old by a child who has never even heard of what they drew, to a massive power outage believed to be a terriorist attack. Although, I will say I saw this as being more of a children's movie from the previews, after seeing this movie with a six year old that brought many moments of "closed eyes" and "a tucked away face" because of somewhat haunting sounds and slightly scary images, I would say the age range should be more adolescent. This was definatly a memorable film and one I would recommend to anyone with older children or even just those who are young at heart. My only thing is just know that not all younger children may find this entertaining. | | | | | | | | | | Shadow of a Dead Star Depravity, vice, and existential conflict in a dystopian near-futrure. http://curiosityquills.com | add comment | | | |

| | I have just watched this one. We put this one off for a while and I see why. Though the message was good it was way over my kids heads and kinda spooky for my 6 year old. Though I told him that they were was good toys not bad you can't help but feel a little creepy when mimzy talks. Nicer for adults than kids I think. | | | | | | | | | | Movies Online The Best Movies Online TrailerAddict.com | add comment | | | |
