Have you read this book? I highly recommend it. It gives a different view of heaven, not the one as we think it is, but rather as a place where you will find your truths, your reason for existence, and your connection to everyone. Its such a touching book, charming in its own way.

my mother passed away in dec and i had heard about this book i read it and cried almost all the way thru it,it really made me stop and think about people who have passed thru my life and what i may have some connection with later. i also bought and read his other two books-tuesdays with morrie another good read and -one more day- a very heart touching story makes you think about if you just had that one more day.

I've read this book and found it to be very enjoyable. It makes me think very differently about death and especially the way you treat other people. A lot of people go through their lives assuming things about others that are just not true and if you had bothered to communicate with them, you would have found out the truth. I think this book also teaches compassion and empathy, skills that a lot of people are lacking today.

I truly enjoy Mitch Albom's novels, and this one was no exception. I found that the way he interwove the stories of other's lives into one man's journey to heaven was seemless and masterful. Yes, I agree that it was a very touching book. And, Albom speaks to the interconnectedness of lives. That people's lives, no matter how fleeting of an encounter, are deeply intertwined with ours. That one event can affect the decisions we make for the rest of our lives. That we all have something to discover here on earth. And, that all unfinished business will have a conclusion one day.

I personally haven't read it yet but I watched it on Hallmark Channel. And I should say it was indeed a nice story. If I'm not mistaken, that’s Mitch Alboms’ book right? I think when I watched it; it was back to back with Tuesdays with Morrie- another wonderful book by the same author. I don’t know where he gets his inspiration from or how he comes up with very dramatic and touching stories such as that. He’s one of my most favorite authors. I guess being sensitive, I really have a soft spot for touchy feely, mushy, cheesy books or films. =)

I have not read that book. I read the Holy Bible - the all-time best seller. I am a Christian, a child of God, baptized into Christ on October 1, 1989 and I belong to the Church of Christ founded and headed by Christ as shown in Acts Chapter 2. I am given the gift of knowledge and understanding Bible Greek and I translate the Word of God from Greek to English PLAINLY - Greek word into its English equivalent with additional words for grammar purposes written in italics so that readers may delete them when they so desire.

I have already published GENESIS, EXODUS, LEVITICUS (Greek-English), THE WILL New Testament (Greek to English), ELEMENTS of SALVATION, The Right Way, GOD, ORIGIN, TRANSFER into PERFECTION, GREEK-ENGLISH (Grammar & Vocabulary), WORDS in THE WILL New Testament, and others shown at

http://www.lulu.com/arseniajoaquin

I have seen the versions being circulated worldwide and they are generally admitted to be 80% NOT translations. My translations are 99.99% translations and I see the truth, beauty, and sweetness of the Word of God. I hope these books could also help people understand the Word of God and be saved.

I hope that you include some of these in your reading.

The book that the poster recommended was fiction. Although I can understand your need to spread the word about the Bible, its not the topic of the discussion.

This book has definitely changed my life. It presents so many metaphors, so many views, that if you don't think deeply into it you are obviously not alive. It is so inspirational, and teaches so many things. It shows the life of a simple man, who is intertwined with the most complicated things. It shows grief and despair. It shows happiness and joy. But the one thing about this book is that you have to read in between the lines. what's written for you to see is just a path to take to make you think more deeply. As the story unfolds, you begin to discover something inside yourself. Everyone does. It is a beautiful book, and is written by a great author.
