You may wonder what you can do to help change the world we live in. How can you help stop war, end racism, promote a helpful society, end selfishness, etc. How can one little person make a change that may help eventually change your city, your state, the country, the world? RAK ~ Random Act's of Kindness Small things that are positive, helpful, unselfish, and promote good behavior. Things you can do everyday - *Let someone with only a couple items get in front of you at the market *Let someone else go first at the stop sign *Holding a door for someone *Offering to help carry a heavy item or unload from cart to car for those that look like they need the help *Offering a ride to someone you know needs one *Becoming a Secret Friend leaving cards, money if need be, etc, anonymously *Offering to share your lunch or snack with someone at work *Asking co-workers or friends is they could use items you do not use anymore *There are many simple things you can do - many that do not cost money, just some time and good will on your part. Do you do RAK??? What kinds of things do you do? do you feel good about yourself when you do this? Do you feel that if we all did this the world would be a better, saner place?

Hi ShadyGrove, I do practice Random Acts of Kindess. I often promote overly considerate behaviour while driving, I hold open doors, I help the elderly, I leave gifts for people secretly that I know that they will enjoy. The list goes on. I do beleive that every little bit helps. I strongly believe in promoting love and not thinking about war, therefore not giving it the power. I care alot about our men and women serving in the east, don't get me wrong. I just don't support the war itself. Nor racism, gossip, or negative thoughts. I feel better about myself when I do a RAK, I get back ten fold when a little old lady smiles at me because I said hello and asked her how she was. A Smile is worth more than a million words. I believe that if we as one, continue to promote good will and spread peace it will catch on. Promote it not preach each and others will follow. I love the www.free-hugs.com or www.hugs.com. Cute and is a great way to share our kindness and thoughtfulness. I also believe that if we feel we want to do more, we may advocate setting up sessions of collective thinking. I think you'd be amazed at the turn out. Base it on any number of subjects. One could be bringing our troops home safe. I love your list of RAK suggestions. Thank you and Have a Great Day!

We do these all the time and don't ever bother to stick around to get thanks or praise. That's not why we do them .. if people took one minute a day to be nicer to others, it would ripple over and touch everyone at some point in time.

Great Comment freak369. It isn't for thanks or praise. I love the statement "it would ripple over and touch everyone at some point in time". Well said!

It does just make you feel good to do something without expecting anything back doesn't it! :o)
