He gave a irresponsible answer after India loosing to Srilanka. BUt I guess, Yuvraj is not the right person for that position. Ganguly is more experienced as a captain and he is also back in form. Its better to retain Dravid itself as captain rather than appointing a new captain.

It would have been strengthened if they had played Suresh raina and
kaif who are also brilliant fielders. The talented Dinesh karthik was
not even given a single chance to play in the world cup. we had only
one extra batsman in the 14 member squad, that was karthik. So when
uthappa and sehwag failed, there were not many options to replace
them. There were experienced players in the squad but the bowling,
batting and fielding departments were not equally balanced. overall,
the team was selected on a wrong format. No player excelled in all the
matches and the captain never led from the front.
