I have changed the EFI version to carburated using the OEM carb. I somehow in the process got interested in going the whole nine yards in rebuilding this engine. I grew up learning the simpler stuff like, cams, headers putting a different carb, but later learned that putting those performance parts are not just the answer. Things have to match, like putting the right cam and also enlarging the valves, installing a carb that should match the other upgrades. What I want is how can I maximize on power without having to spend a lot of money. I have installed a pacesetter headers with a 2" exhaust and flowmaster muffler, also, installed a performance street camshaft, splitfire 8mm sparkplug wires. The increase in horsepower was obvious it turned out pretty good.
Like they say you could never get enough power! I am planning to build another 22r and this time I want to get the right combinations. I would like to match the performance parts like example; what carb and camshaft to use, should I bump up compression and How?
Please someone advise me on what might be the best set-up for my 22r!
Thank you!

I have a lot of knowledge of performance engines, give me an indication of what the power is that you are looking at and I'll give you the best setup.
